Royal Aarhus City Marathon 2027

Royal Aarhus City Marathon is the first city marathon in Aarhus since 2008. The route is one lap of 42.195 km, starting and finishing on Vester Allé by ARoS. You’ll run through the Marselisborg Forests, along the bay and past the Infinite Bridge, across the harbour and out to Aarhus Ø, past Dokk1 and the Cathedral, and around Brabrand Lake before returning to the city centre. The highest point on the route is 60 metres, and around 20 km are car-free paths and pedestrian streets. The time limit is 6 hours. The entry fee includes chip timing (RACE RESULT), a medal, a running shirt, aid stations every 5 km with water and sports drink, baggage storage and a digital certificate. Early bird price: DKK 695 through 24 December 2026; afterwards, DKK 795. The organiser is Strata Endurance Events, which also organises Royal Copenhagen City Half and Ørestad Half Marathon.
